Val N’s Slovenian Cabbage Rolls

    Ingredients:

    • 1.5 lbs Hamburger Meat
    • 1 lb Ground Pork Meat
    • ½ cup fine Breadcrumbs
    • 1 Egg 
    • ½ cup Grated Cheese of your choice
    • 2 tablespoons White Flour
    • 4-6 cloves Fresh Garlic chopped fine
    • 2-3 teaspoons Dried Parsley
    • 1 Large Onion finely chopped
    • 1 Large Fresh Cabbage
    • 1 Tin Sauerkraut
    • 1 teaspoon Salt
    • 3-4 Tablespoons Ketchup
    • 1 Large Fresh Cabbage 
    • 1 Jar of your favorite Spaghetti Sauce

    Preparation:

    • Mix all the ingredients in Blue with two or three tablespoons of Spaghetti Sauce. Set aside.

    • Cut core of cabbage out and put cabbage in boiling water. Slowly turn cabbage into water and leaves will fall off. Put aside.
    • Cut off any excess hard part of the core on cabbage leaves. This makes it easier to roll.
    • Take enough of the meat mixture and fill each cabbage leave. Roll up tight. Put each roll in layers in deep pan prefilled with just enough water to cover bottom of pan, spreading each layer with Spaghetti Sauce and Sauerkraut.
    • Cover with tin foil, cook on middle oven rack 350 degrees 1 to 1.5 hours
